DETAILED PROGRAM
Day 01: Hanoi Arrival - Half Day City Tour - Mini hotel - Night train to Lao Cai (-) | Guide and driver
After arriving at Noi Bai airport, you will be picked up and transfer to the hotel in the city center for check in.
Then, starting the day trip will be a visit of Temple of Literature constructed in 1070 to worship Confucius, which served as the first Royal National University in Vietnam. The site also honors 82 Vietnamese doctorates who passed a number of rigid exams in the feudal ages. Their names, birthdays and birthplaces are engraved in 82 headstones perched on stone tortoises. It is widely believed that touching the heads of these tortoises will bring luck. Its peaceful green compound with its neatly maintained lawns, gardens and lotus ponds make it a tranquil hideaway from the city’s bustle and heat.
Then, we visit the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Its architecture resembles a flowering lotus and it was built during the reign of King Ly Nam De. Today, many artifacts of cultural and historical value remain, such as a collection of worship statues in the Upper Palace, especially the statue of Shakyamuni Buddha entering Nirvana. The temple is a destination that attracts many Buddhists and tourists alike.
In the afternoon, we will back to the Old Quarter for a walking tour, then you will have a deeper insight of local daily life (visit Dong Xuan Market + Phung Hung train street + St. Joseph's Cathedral).
Then you will be transferred to a mini hotel or 3-hour rest before going to the train station to catch the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the night train. No guide on board.
Day 02: Lao Cai - Lao Chai & Ta Van Village - Muong Hoa Train - Fansipan Peak - Do Quyen Climbing Mountain Train (B) | Guide and driver
Arrive in Lao Cai, you will be met by local guide and driver upon your arrival at Lao Cai station then transferred to a local restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast, we drive to Sapa.
Then the day is devoted to a beautiful walk through the breathtaking scenery of Sa Pa valley. Follow a small track and cross Muong Hoa River and pass well tended rice terraces on your way to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Continuing through the colorful rice terraces you will reach the village of Ta Van Giay. As you continue your trek along the Muong Hoa River you will cross a small suspension bridge, roughly 2km from the settlement. Here you can discover a fascinating collection of rock carvings. These engravings depict some beautiful images of man, stilt houses and some beautiful decorative patterns.
In the afternoon, we transfer to Sunworld station to experience taking the Muong Hoa train, moving from Sapa center to Fansipan cable car station in only 6 minutes. This train is very special. The interior of the train cars has the European beauty of previous decades with wooden chairs, antique ceiling fans and a cozy space with soft yellow lights, bringing a feeling of comfort to everyone. Sitting and relaxing on the train, you will see the brilliant Muong Hoa valley from above. Muong Hoa possesses a beauty like the Eden garden of the Northwest mountains. Throughout this 2km journey, you will experience the feeling of running along the mountainside, crossing viaducts and listening to the sounds of the mountains and forests echoing in the space.
Then you will travel to Fansipan Mountain which is considered to be the most beautiful landscape of Vietnam now. Reach the altitude of 2800 meters, you have a good time seeing the view and taking photos, visiting the pagoda the spiritual destinations and take Do Quyen mountain train. The train will take you through the underground tunnel under the giant Buddha statue to Truc May station, about 50 stone steps from Fansipan peak. Here, you can walk to the top of Fansipan.
Overnight in Sapa.
Day 03: Sapa - Cat Cat Village - Drive to Hanoi by Limousine (B) | Guide and driver
After breakfast, we will go downhill to Cat Cat village. Cat Cat Village provides you with an opportunity to discover the unique culture and architecture of the H'mong ethnic group, who have inhabited the region for centuries. One of the best things to do in Cat Cat Village is to take a peaceful walk and enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds the village. The village is home to a plethora of stunning landscapes, from picturesque rice paddies to lush green forests.
In the afternoon, you will be transfered back to Hanoi by limousine. Overnight hotel in Hanoi.
Day 04: Ha Noi - Ha Long Bay - Luon Cave - Titop Island (B, L, D) | Driver
08:00 - 08:30 Pick up at your hotel to Tuan Chau Port.
11:30 - 11:45 Welcome the group at Ha Long International Port, Bai Chay, Quang Ninh
12:15 High-speed motorboat takes the group to the ship to check in, enjoy welcome drinks, listen to the tour schedule and safety regulations on the ship
13:00 Enjoy lunch at the restaurant while the cruise begins its journey to explore Ha Long Bay
14:45 Kayak or take a bamboo boat to visit Luon Cave
Start the tour by bamboo boat or kayak, the experience of exploring Luon Cave brings you closer to the natural beauty of the limestone islands in the Bay
16:00 Visit and swim at Titop Island
The next destination on the journey is Titop Island where you can spend time relaxing, swimming at the beach or following the path to the top of the mountain with more than 400 stone steps to see the whole view of Ha Long Bay from a height of 100m
17:00 - 18:30 Watch the sunset on Ha Long Bay, choose and enjoy the discount on your favorite drink at the sundeck or attend a cooking class
19:15 Enjoy dinner in a sparkling and warm space
21:00 Gently relax on the sundeck area or try the extremely interesting squid fishing experience
22:30 Sleep well to recharge your energy to continue exploring the sights on the second day

Day 05: Ha Long Bay - Sung Sot Cave - Ha Noi (B, L) | Driver
06:15 Wake up to watch the sunrise on the bay, gently warm up with a Tai Chi class
06:30 Light breakfast with tea, coffee and pastries
07:20 Visit Sung Sot Cave. Visit Sung Sot Cave, the largest and most beautiful cave in Ha Long Bay, discover the majestic beauty of stalactites formed over thousands of years
09:15 Return to the ship, check out and pay
09:30 Enjoy a light lunch served buffet style at the restaurant
10:45 - 11:00 The group returns to the pier, ending the tour of Ha Long Bay
Back to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.
Day 06: Hanoi - Departure (B) | Driver
Breakfast at hotel.
Pick up at hotel lobby then transfer by driver to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight. Trip ends.
