Ha Giang is situated around 320km to Ha Noi. The land has a rugged beauty with complex topography of rocky mountains, high hills, steep slopes, rivers, and streams. Ha Giang has many mountains, with the highest peak Tay Con Linh of 2.419m. It also boasts vast tropical forest rich in flora, especially rare wood and medicinal plants, and fauna. The grand Dong Van Plateau is known as the global geopark of rock.

Ha Giang is home to a great number of ethnic groups: Mong, Lolo, Tay, etc. They have unique customs and traditions, particularly the Khau Vai ethnic love market. Many other ethnic markets are held at weekends, drawing people near and far for trade. Perfectly, they are all untouched.

  • Dong Van market fair is held every Sunday, and it is a busy hub for Han, Dzao, Giay, Tay and H'mong ethnic people. Many of those people have to depart from their villages in the early morning or even one day in advance to reach the market.
  • Meo Vac market: Meo Vac market is the only town in Ha Giang, home to H'Mong ethnic people. Despite its administrative name, Meo Vac is remote and almost unexplored. Meo Vac Market is the ultimate destination to experience the ancient bartering of remote ethnic minorities in Ha Giang.
  • Dong Van rock plateau: The limestone plateau of Dong Van is really a masterpiece of the nature. It provides exceptional karst landscapes and great geological diversity, along with rich cultural heritage.
