A visa is required yet procedure is simpler than in Vietnam. You can obtain your visa upon arrival without applying for visa approval letter in advance. You must submit your valid passport, a passport photo and 30 USD for stamping fees.
There are two options to process the Cambodia visa:
- Through the internet ( E-Visa or Visa Online)
You need to apply e-arrival 7 days prior to arrival date.
Valid from 1st of September, 2024, no more visa application with paper at all Cambodia Airports.

Welcome to the Kingdom of Cambodia!
The Ministry of Interior will launch an e-Arrival system to enter Cambodia before arriving, starting from September 1st, 2024.All travelers can submit the Cambodia e-Arrival within 7 days before the arrival in the Kingdom. Fill in the digital immigration form and enjoy a hassle free process. The digital form is available either at www.arrival.gov.kh or via the Cambodia e-Arrival (CeA) in the App Store and Play Store.
- Directly at the border ( Visa upon arrival or Visa On Arrival (VOA)
In Cambodia, the visa can be obtained at any border point, either by land or by air. You must present a valid passport with your name and a passport size photo (4cm x 6cm) and pay 30 dollars per person (it will be 30 days long). You do not need any type of invitation letter or go through the Embassy.
It is important that the passport be valid for at least 6 months counting from the date of entry into Cambodia.
